Boys Like Girls è il nome di una band originaria di Boston (MA - USA), fondata nel 2005 da Martin Johnson (voce/chitarra), Bryan Donahue (basso), John Keefe (batteria), e successivamente dal chitarrista Paul DiGiovanni. Dopo aver aperto in tutta la nazione numerosi concerti di vari artisti come Butch Walzer e Cute Is What We Aim For, in pochi mesi raggiungono la top della web chart degli artisti senza etichetta redatta da Purevolume. Nell'agosto 2006 hanno realizzato il loro primo album con la Columbia Records - Red Ink. che porta il nome della band, Boys Like Girls. Il disco contiene 12 tracce, tra cui i singoli Hero/Heroine, The Great Escape, Heels Over Head e Thunder. Quest'ultimo ha raggiunto la posizione n.1 nella classifica top heatseekers di Billboard. Nel marzo 2007 la band è stata votata "Artist Of The Year" dalla rivista musicale Spin. Nel 2008 hanno aperto le date americane del "Best Damn Tour" di Avril Lavigne. La stessa estate sono stati co-headliners del "Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour" con i Good Charlotte, The Maine e Metro Station. Il 4 Novembre 2008 è uscito il loro primo DVD, Read Between The Lines. Attualmente la band ha intrapreso il tour promozionale per il nuovo album, la cui uscita è prevista per il prossimo settembre.

I've met all of them but Martin. I don't like Martin though :| Last time I saw BLG, I went shopping with Bryan in Birmingham for shoes, I told him the Bryan 'knock knock' joke. Seriously, It'd be so worth the money if you came down to the UK to see them ;)
