About me: We will now be BOZEMAN MAGAZINE. Had we thought of the name Bozeman Magazine in May of 2007 and realized that it was available there never would have been a Bozeman’s Own Monthly Magazine. The original name was chosen because we wanted to show that we are Bozeman, we are Bozeman’s Own, we live her for the same reasons you do and have been here for the past thirteen years soaking in the beauty, culture, community and all of the things that make Bozeman unique. We wanted a name that said, best of, or locals choice, something that let you know that you were getting a piece of Bozeman in every issue. Bozeman Magazine says that much simpler.
For the past nineteen months we have published full color issues each and every month with the help of local writers and artists who love the Bozeman community as much as we do. We have brought you informative articles about local non-profit groups that thrive off your continued support, and that you may not have known existed. We bring you event news before it happens so that you can be sure to get out and enjoy what Bozeman has to offer instead of reading about it after the fact. We have shown you artwork by little known artists in the community who make this place great, and businesses that have been here for years doing what they do best, as well as new businesses who will continue to arrive to make our home better. We have included what we call a get out list in every issue, a free service for groups, clubs and organizations to let you know who they are, what they do, and how you can get involved. Get out includes sports, hobbies, charitable organizations and volunteer opportunities, and is constantly being updated to suite the season and your need to be a more effective part of the community.
Being a part of the community is a major factor in making Bozeman the true last best place. Phrases like “be the change you want to see in the world,” or “know more, do more” are key to being the best community we can be, and Bozeman Magazine truly wants that for each member of the Gallatin Valley. We are sure that by picking up a copy of the magazine you will learn something, be better informed and make better choices about where to spend your time, energy and money within the community.
Thank you for picking up this and every copy of Bozeman Magazine. We wish you the best in 2009 and beyond.
