Discovering more about God. Of course, my family and friends. That really is the most vital part of my life. Being a wife is the greatest responsibility I have. I love my husband so much and I recognize how blessed I am to have a man of morals. On the side, I enjoy walking. Yoga. Snow-shoeing. Hiking. Time in quiet nature. I enjoy NPR. I love feeding people good home-cooked food over meaningful conversation. I also enjoy trying new restaurants from time to time. I'm a decorator and designer of sorts and even contemplating getting the degree for it. I'm also an exceptional organizer and find GREAT joy in cleaning out a closet! I believe that when one's home/castle/dwelling space is a good place to be, a person's life is more enjoyable. I like growing my herb garden. I love my cat and pretty much any dog. I love road trips with my husband. American History is quite facinating to me. I'm also interested in reading, music, movies (as you can read about below).
Music
Death Cab for Cutie, Menomena, Regina Spektor, Brian Arden... many more...
Movies
Funny is GREAT! Good messages are great! My new favorite movie is LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE!!!!!
Television
"The Office"
Books
Isn't it funny that now that I'm out of school I actually want to read?!!! I can't get enough of it. My Favorite Read: To Kill a Mockingbird. John Steinbeck is my favorite author. East of Eden is my favorite book of his (so far).
Heroes
I think you can find heroic things in most everyone. Call me Pollyanna if you will, but life is a lot easier when you're thinking good things about others. And the people who are nasty... just feel sorry for them.

About me: As you'll see, I blog a lot and find it to be quite therapeutic. That's probably where you'll find out most about me. But some other tid-bits: I'm a socially-responsible Christian. I get giggly over things like car-washes, flocks of birds and really good chocolate. And, CANDY CANES! I love visiting book stores (Powell's is my favorite). I love a good cup of coffee over a good conversation. I'm known for asking my friends out for coffee dates. Conversation and Relationship are so important to me.
Who I'd like to meet: Liesl
by Brian Arden
Saturday night, I was driving in the country
She was fast asleep and I was thinking she was pretty
I was a man who was afraid to admit he was in love
She bought some french bread and chunk dill havardi
And we ate beneath the moon and sang a little ditty
As the cool night breeze played hide and seek among autumn leaves
Her name was Liesl
Now she's my girl
Her name was Liesl
Now she's my world
Sometimes she's loud, she claims to be a tom boy
I know her better, she's a lady to the core
Behind the stress and the frustration she is prone to
Is her desire to be a woman of much more
Than all the fashion and foolishness around her
Than all the bitchy superficiality
When every other girl is craving fancy clothing
She just wants to smell the salt-air on the sound
A friday night and I was wandering through the city
Misplaced directions to the Pioneer Courthouse Tree
I found a muddy little spot up on the hill side
Where I asked her if she would spend her life with me
Her name is Liesl
Now she's my girl
Her name is Liesl
And she's my world

Hey Snafu Fan! From all of us at Snafu we want to wish you a early Happy Thanksgiving and your time is merry into the Christmas time of the year! Peace and Thanks, Snafu
One of each please (chicken and veggie). Are you sure we don't need to pay anything ahead of time for the Christian Adoption Banquet? I'll email you my address after I look for that email about it. Thanks!
No, the horse isn't mine, some friend's horse. I would love to come to the Christian Adoption Agency banquet. What time is it at? I guess I'll check my email. Thanks for the invite.
Hi Sorry I didn't get back to you... I stopped by your office but you weren't there. I can't do October 15 because I am taking the PSAT. I already told pastor Greg. I think it would be easier to do just 10 minutes at the end or beginning of chapel. I will get in contact with you this week! ~Lena
Oh yeah, I guess I left my jean jacket at your place. Thanks for keeping it safe for me. I love your home. You did an awesome job decorating and painting it.
HEY! I think I'm commenting back from a facebook question from you. UH-OH!! I'm going good! Really good, in fact. Didn't think I'd be in the "good" category again. Funny how life makes a feel like a moment will be your forever. We just moved into Boise, off of Franklin. We love our new apartment. I'm teaching Special Ed this year, and working on my masters in SPED. I'm really liking it. It's a much more flexible and mobile job than a gen ed teacher job. I also have more...POWER in this position. Ha ha! So yeah, life it going well. How about you? New house!!! Congrats! Where did you find something you could afford in Portland??? Yikes!!! ;-)
Fabulous work with the new digs! I love your new place! I hope that despite the stress of moving and unpacking you are enjoying every minute of having something to call your own!
