Bracken is a loose collective of like minded souls orbiting around the increasingly wayward and experimental music maker (for want of a better term) Christopher Adams. Now a veteran of underground music, Mr C Adams has (since the age of 14) co-captained the good ship Hood, clocking up countless albums on labels as prestigious as Domino, Slumberland, 555 and many others. The mid-90's saw him flirt with the solo project Downpour (555 Recs, DropBeat), releasing two much sought after and now hopelessly obsolete 12" slabs of near unlistenable yet highly lauded drum and bass chaos. Bracken, on the other hand, could be considered as an otherworldly off-shoot of Hood and, much like his brother Richard's "The Declining Winter" project, explores the outer regions of the rich and varied legacy which the band (currently on a 'musical sabbatical') have explored. Bracken are currently hiding and recording album number two for Anticon records.
