A dj since 1987, was brought up thru the golden age of Hip Hop. Bradford came from a musical family; mother a singer, grandfather a drummer, he played musical instruments thru junior high school till the time he decided to DJ. "As a DJ, Bradford specializes in African rhythms and as a producer, percussive elements from the motherland come to the fore....(weekly dig 2008)". Although soulful house music is his well-known specialty he thinks anything with soul or feeling fits right into his genre-less idealism. He has performed at memorable parties in almost every major city including Providence, Boston, Montreal, Toronto, New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Miami, Phoenix, Detroit, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire and has played internationally in Amsterdam. Bradford is co-founder of a new Underground Boston Internet Radio Station called Utopiabostonradio.com with Boston's most respected DJ/Promoter DJ Bruno. His experience in radio has led him to perform on many FM/Satellite/ Internet Radio Stations including Cyberjamz.com, Netmusique.com, Globalsoulradio.com, Ssradiouk.com, AIR 104.4 FM (Athens, Greece), XM Radio (Channel 80 The Move), Hot 106.3FM (Prov), BSR 88.1FM (Prov), Groove Da Kiss FM (Brazil), WNUR 89.3 (Chicago), WERS 88.9 (Boston), WZBC 90.3FM (Boston) & WMBR 88.1FM (Boston).
 
As an event promoter Bradford has been involved with many parties in the Boston, Providence & New York City Area. Some of these parties include Digital Soul (Prov. RI 2002), The Basement (Boston 2003), Seed In Love (NYC 2007), Sea of Soul Boat Cruises (NYC 2002), Summer Soul Festival (Boston 2007) & Soundscapes (Cambridge 2005). He currently hosts a monthly party in Boston called Seed In The City at the Goodlife which has been going strong for 2 years straight and has been host to some of soulful house's rising stars worldwide. In June of 2008 he has also started a new weekly monday night event called Vibation at Church featuring hip hop, soul, house, spoken word artists with live bands and dj's both local and international. This event has been his biggest challenge, the mission to create an off night event, that presses boundaries and influences a new birth of open minded individuals in a city that once had a very successful dance community seven days a week.
 
Bradford started Producing music in 1998, his first release in 2001 under the groovekontrol name. He has appeared on cuts produced with some of soulful dance musics heavyweights such as Quentin Harris, Tyrone Francis, Boddhi Satva & Trinidadian Deep. To date he has releases and remixes under the names subwaysoul, seed allstarz, bradford james, jesse james project, seed in the city and seedadian deep on some of house musics most respected labels worldwide. Finally if you think Bradford doesnt have time to sleep well your right since starting his own imprint with co-founders Oveous Maximus & Deknology called Seed (soul enters every dancer) Recordings in 2001. Since then has planted a "seed" in the musical community as a respectable new record label. Seed has ten releases under its belt, including releases and remixes from Alton MIller, Boddhi Satva, Oveous Maximus, Tyrone Francis, Jersey Soul, Jay Tripwire and many others. Seed music has appeared on compilations in Canada, UK & South Africa. The music has been played by heavyweights like Osunlade, Mr V, Louie Vega, Jojo Flores, Tony Humphries, Andy Ward... All music is available via Itunes, Traxsource, Amazon, emuzic and many other digital outlets.

Seed Allstarz feat Quentin Harris - The Sniper (UGH)
Quentin's on a roll right now with his first Strictly Rhythm release 'U Don't Know' coasting along. But quite where he fits in here with the Seed Allstarz is tricky to figure out, though there's a definite resemblance to QH's chunkier, techier styles, a deep, electronic soul that also shows shades of recent Osunlade and Rocco offerings. 'Kemistry's Terrace Mix' adds a little urgency to the all-instrumental vibes, while 'Boddhi Satva's Ancestral Mix' switches things towards a more organic groove with extra percussion and looser beats. 4 out of 5 starz

Nasa might be just a small dance pub, but when the music's right and the crowd's into it, it can feel like just as big a party as places four times its size. Take last Friday night, when the Poundhouse crew threw their monthly Ground Control deep house party, bringing in Bradford James from Boston. Not many people were there earlier on to hear Gerald ''s opening set, but just as James took over the decks, the bar started filling up and the dancing kicked in. James played a spectrum of sounds associated with the deep house tag: melodic tech house, Afro-Latin-influenced tracks, vocal anthems and some jazzy soulful stuff. His set was well mixed and is worth checking out next time he visits Toronto.
