About me:

I'm Brad. A real person with real tastes and interests. Not everyone likes them. Some find this offensive, cause for disillusionment, unplastic, fodder for critique. Sorry folks, don't need it. Won't respond. But for those who actually want to know me as I am...

I'm an author and teacher with a faith community called Fresh Wind, based in Abbotsford, BC. I have a wife, Eden, and three sons.
Can You Hear Me?
I like to learn and write and teach about such topics as "listening prayer" (tuning into God's voice) and social justice (www.clarion-journal.ca).

I've written some books:

Can You Hear Me?
Children, Can You Hear Me?
Fear No Evil
Kissing the Leper
Rivers from Eden (with my wife)
Shades: Nuancing Listening Prayer (with Sean Davidson)
Have a peak by clicking on the cover to the left.

I'm sorting out the point of my life: Something about love and hearing Jesus in the now and heeding the Jesus of the Gospels...

Have a peak at my real blog, "the God who speaks".
Who I'd like to meet:
Jesus. Not the prozac church-Jesus projections that everyone hates (and probably should). The actual one.

And anyone else who colours far enough outside the lines to get crucified.

Here's a keeper - Jason Upton absolutely nails it here. Glad for a God who has come down to the next-to-me-place.

Hi Brad
Thought I'd drop by and say hi. Seems like so long ago that u and Justice stayed over. We were reminicing last night while eating spicy onions from the Three in One.
Was reading Olivia Children can u hear me the other night. Theres been much talk of monsters lately so she was most impressed with Jesus giving the green guy a good kicking.

Love 2 u all.

So I was thinking today, while pulling weeds in the garden and slapping mosquitoes that it would be nice to have CAN YOU HEAR ME? on my iPod. I have read it a couple years ago, and want to go through it again. Have you thought about putting it on iTunes? Or an audio book? How about the other books? Sometimes listening is another way of taking things in, rather than just reading. Just a thought, and hopefully an encouragement. Blessings!

Hey Brad,

Long time no see, speak, email, etc.... and seeing as you've reached the ripe age of 98, it really has been a long time!

Btw, you don't look a day older than 97 and don't let anyone tell you different!
