Bradley Harder is the youngest of 13 children and was born in Saskatoon, raised in Calgary and now happily resides in Toronto. Coming from a religious background, Bradley’s roots are in gospel but throughout his life he’s been at ease performing many types of music including country, rockabilly, blues, jazz or rock. Prior to the Bouncers, Bradley had formed a band with his brother and a couple of friends called "The Harder Brothers", who wrote a bunch of songs and palyed around Toronto for a couple of years, They can be found at www.myspace.com/theharderbrothers . While making a guest appearance at a rockabilly concert in Russia in 1992, Bradley developed laryngitis. Antibiotics didn’t work so he ended up with nodes on his vocal chords, resulting in his rich and distinctive voice. Backed by the Bouncers, together they perform jazz and blues standards by Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Louis Prima, Dean Martin, Ray Charles, Fats Waller and more!
The Bouncers are comprised of some of the best musicians in Canada. The all-star ensemble includes Mitchell Lewis on guitar, Pat Carey on sax, Terry Wilkins on bass, Howard Moore on trumpet, and John Adames on drums. Their leader, Bradley Harder, is a dashing and engaging entertainer, hooking listeners in with his unique voice, soulful performances and commanding stage presence.
Bradley and the Bouncers have had an eight year residency on Wednesday nights at the Reservoir lounge in Toronto, and have been bringing the crowds in consistenly.
For seasonal parties, weddings, corporate or private events, Bradley and the Bouncers are an excellent choice of entertainment. Whether performing to an audience of thousands or to a small group, they deliver the goods every time.
I had to come back to MySpace so I could check out these Bouncers and the Bradley, since I've heard so many great things about 'em! Cigar smoke and swing music, draft beer and dark rooms filled with jazz! I'll talk to you soon, Uncle Brad, hopefully you had a great Wednesday with the other capital B's.
