I have been playing the piano for a long time. In many ways, though, I am just beginning my musical journey. I come from a musical family; a partridge family of sorts. Growing up with music all around me, there was no doubt about where my interests would shift as I grew up...
When I was 12, I got an Elton John casette tape in a happy meal, and that is basically how it all started. The piano just makes sense to me. I tought myself to play pretty quickly. I can hear a song and play it. Another random cd purchase in high school would lead to my other musical obsession: Ben Folds.
Today, I play a whole lot of Ben Folds and Elton John. During summers, I play with my grandpa and the family band. I am beginning to attempt to make a name for myself by appearing in talent shows and the like. I headlined my first show at Christ's Church in Effingham during August of 2005 with my family backing me up. I am beginning to write my own songs influenced largely by Ben and Elton. This will be a place for me to post recordings and, hopefully, get some feedback.

alright nice. ill try to hit up a sippers show. things are pretty good here. just school n work, which i am now in produce at walmart. go me! but its good. hows everything with you?
Do you and the lady have plans Friday night? I have to run a football game until 9:30 or so, but then Haley and myself have some hang-out plans. You guys could come along...
Also, inquiring minds would like to know...is that other song maybe going to be popping up on here any time soon? I loved it very much and would like to listen to it again...

unfortunately I was already a bit pre-occupied last weekend. I did happen to note, that I marked a new Brad Phillips concert in our radio concert calendar the other day though...
