Brady Toops grew up in New London, a small rural town hidden amongst the lakes of west central Minnesota. His early years were occupied by many athletic events, primarily baseball, but his love for music was evident even at a young age. According to his parents, "The kid just couldn't stop singing." As his teen years progressed he sang in church and other choir and ensemble groups. Alongside this, Brady’s baseball career continued after high school and brought him to the University of Arkansas. As an escape from the pressures of college baseball, Brady picked up the guitar his first year there and began to teach himself to play. He soon discovered that songwriting was a natural talent and began to develop and experiment in this newfound arena of life. In the spring of 2004, Brady helped lead the Razorbacks to the College World Series and was then drafted in the 10th round by the St. Louis Cardinals. His professional baseball career ended in 2006 after playing three seasons in the Minor Leagues. As baseball left the picture, Brady’s passion for music continued on. Consequently, in November of 2007, he released his debut album, "Only You". As displayed on this album, Brady’s heartfelt lyrics and musical style reveal his genuine search for God and will resonate with many who long for authentic worship. In addition to traveling around the country leading worship and playing concerts in 2008, Brady founded Underspoken Records, (www.underspokenrecords.com) devoted to discerning the breath of heaven on a particular artist and/or theme and releasing it for the hearts of the multitudes. A few months later Underspoken Records released a new compilation album called “Choose Life” featuring Lou Engle, Kim Walker, Jason Upton, as well as many other Christian artists around the nation with songs inspired around the themes of Life and Justice. Brady’s passion is to see a generation encounter the love of God and be released to bring His Kingdom into every sphere of society.
Brady currently bases out of Kansas City, MO and travels around the United States leading worship, speaking, and playing concerts at churches, youth groups, schools, retreats, youth camps, FCA gatherings, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.
