Braindance was hatched in 1988 in D.C. by Peter Vazquez and John Overstreet, then moved to Boston in 1990, and disbanded in 1993. BD left behind a considerable output of songs. 'Monsoon' became a commercial radio hit in Boston, going into regular rotation on WFNX and WBCN, while simultaneously breaking the airwaves on the college level.
