Brainshocker il gruppo fondato agli inizi del 2009 è formato da Domenico Biancardi(tastiere) Sebastian Paul (voce) Felice Filippini(Basso e chitarra) Joseph Trab(effetti) Mauro Righi (testi e chitarra).
Difficile assoggettarli ad un genere, una saggia fusione di stili e correnti musicali diverse, proveniente dai diversi background musicali. Dal Big Beat alla Drum’n’Bass, dall’elettronica all’ambient, miscelano in modo curato strumenti convenionali come bassi e chitarre ai più moderni synth e multieffetti. Anche la voce esegue acrobazie non da meno passando da tratti melodici a veloci mc’s. Innegabile è il loro legame a doppio filo con il punk giovane derivante dalla precedente esperienza del loro bassista Felice Filippini, imbrigliato dai suoni sempre ricercati e innovativi di Domenico Biancardi, il tutto adagiato sui drum e gli effetti di un cultore dell’underground, Joseph Trab.
Biography
The brainshocker is a band created at the beginning of 2009; it consist of Domenico Biancardi (Synth); Sebastian Paul (Vocals); Felice Filippini (Bass and Lead guitar); Joseph Trab (Effects); Mauro Righi (Lyrics and Rhythm guitar). It’s not easy to put their music in a specific genre, as it is a wise fusion of difgferent style and trends, which come from the difference musical background of each member. Big Beat, Drum’n’bass, eletronic, ambient they range over this stylecarefully mixing conventional instruments like guitar with more modern synth and multi effects devices. Also the voice shows his skills chancing from melodic verse to fast mc’s.
It’s undeniable their link with punk, coming from the previous musical experience of the massist Felice Filippini, subdued to the refined and innovating sound by Domenico Biancardi, and finally laid down on the drums and effects of an underground true lover: Joseph Trab.
