HISTORY
Stichting Brainstorm Festival was formed in the beginning of 2008 with a clear mission to enter a new era of musicfestivals as we know it. Next to rock- and metalbands our festival offers dvd-recordings, seminars and exposition. Besides known rock- and metalbands the festival will offer several quality bands from the underground, ready to step into the spotlights.

The first edition of Brainstorm Festival took place from 21-23 November 2008 in club Gigant in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Unless the extremely bad winter-weather and the cancelling of Eluveitie the festival was a success. Great bands played during the first edition: Seventh Angel (UK), Rebellion (D), Thy Majestie (ITA), Seventh Avenue (D), Mehida (FIN/S) with vocalist Thomas Vikström (Therion), Miseration (S) with vocalist Christian Älvestam (Scar Symmetry), Morphia (NL), Harmony (S) with guest-appearance by Kristoffer Gildenlöw (Dial, ex-Pain Of Salvation), Mena Brinno (USA), A New Dawn (NL), Monoblock (D) and World To Ashes (D).
