:: FRANCAIS
Mondocourau alias Laurent Courau. Realisateur, graphiste, journaliste free-lance et instigateur de Brainsushi, une agence media mutante, je suis depuis une dizaine d'annees les mutations sociales et culturelles de notre temps au travers du web magazine La Spirale, et de mes collaborations avec la presse et les medias francais et etrangers. Mutations pop et crash culture, une anthologie de La Spirale, est sortie au printemps 2004 chez Actes Sud, suivi en avril 2006 par Vampyres, quand la realite depasse la fiction dans la collection Pop cultures des editions Flammarion.
Actuellement en post-production sur Vampyres, un film documentaire base sur une idee de Lukas Zpira et produit par Avalanche Productions, qui suivra le livre eponyme (voir plus haut). Rituels de sang, gangs du Queens, occultisme, societes secretes et clans de vampyres... Avec plus de cent cinquante heures de rushes tournes a Paris, en Suisse, a New York, a la Nouvelle Orleans, au Japon, au Bresil et a Venise a l'occasion du carnaval 2007, Vampyres promet une plongee inedite dans les strates les plus tenebreuses de l'underground actuel.
Egalement au programme des mois prochains, la remise en service de La Spirale, alias l'eZine des Mutants Digitaux, qui fetera une decennie d'agitation digitale avec une nouvelle formule et de nouveaux contenus audio, visuels et interactifs ! Mondocourau aka Laurent Courau. Film director, graphic artist, independent reporter and instigator of Brainsushi, the Mutant Media Agency, I have been following the social and cultural mutations of our times over the past ten years, through my web magazine La Spirale and my collaborations with French and foreign media. An anthology of La Spirale, Mutations pop et crash culture, has been published by Actes Sud in spring 2004. I am currently working on Vampyres, a documentary film produced by Avalanche Productions that follows the book of the same name which was released by Flammarion on the 18th of April 2006 (check the update below about the release of Vampyres, the book). Also planned for next Spring, the reactivation of La Spirale, aka the Digital Mutants eZine, on time to celebrate ten years of digital activism with new audio, visual and interactive contents!

Independent journalist, writer and film director, Laurent Courau has been following for the past ten years the mutations of our time, through his collaborations with French and foreign medias. He has published Mutations pop et crash culture, an anthology of his web magazine La Spirale, released in the spring of 2004 by the Rouergue Editions.
Nomad photographer, founder of the Body Art studio, specialist of body modifications and contemporary subcultures, Lukas Zpira tracks the freaks of the early 21st century around the world. Onanisme manu militari 2, a book dedicated to his work, has been published by Hors Editions in June 2005.
