Bram Stadhouders was born in 1987 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. He is interested in atmospheric music through improvisation and composition. He plays guitar, guitarsyntesizer and laptop.
At the moment he is a composition student at the School of Music and Technology in Utrecht. He's active in various projects, and he's very concentrated on creating his own music, through his duo with Onno Govaert, and also a larger band which is in development right now. A new CD of this will be recorded and released soon. He also makes a solo produced album every now and then.
His father being a guitar teacher and his mother a classical piano teacher, he was drowned into music since birth. He got classical guitar lessons from his dad when he became 6 years old. He received 2 classical guitar awards when he was 8 and 9.
As a kid he started playing in a rockband and a jazzband, touring through the Netherlands in the biggest venues and events, being on TV, and winning important Dutch competitions. He also played with great dutch jazz musicians like Harmen Fraanje and Hein van de Geyn.
Bram Stadhouders has gained national recognition in his homecountry Netherlands. In 2008 he was chosen as a "Young VIP”, the most prestigious prize for upcoming improvisers, followed by a tour through Hollands most important stages, together with drummer Onno Govaert.
Bram is always seeking for artistic development and creating music that moves people to higher emotional levels.
Bram has performed in these venues: Bimhuis (Amsterdam), Paradox (Tilburg), SJU (Utrecht), Blå (Oslo NO), North Sea Jazz festival, Festival Mundial, ZXZW, Heineken Music Hall and many more. He has won 2 classical guitar competitions in '95 and '96, National Guitar Awards in '99, Prinses Christina Councours in '04, Young Vip tour in 2008.
He has played with: Eric Vloeimans, Jim Black, Harmen Fraanje, Jeroen van Vliet, Eric van der Westen, Haytham Safia, Wouter Jaspers, Laïs, Noel Redding (bassist from Jim Hendrix), Nelson Veras, Hein van de Geyn, Matthieu Chazarenc, Staplerfahrer, Grzech Piotrowski, Spinvis, and much more.

Two abstract urban meditations composed by French visual artist Jérôme Schlomoff. Both filmed with a pinhole movie 35mm camera, these two films create mysterious and eerie portraits of the two cities, a ghostly New York City under a snowstorm and a poetical exploration of Amsterdam as a city suspended between past, present and future, in a visual voyage filmed at some of the city’s building sites. Both films are going to be presented with a live soundtrack performed by experimental hip-hop producer Smooth One and bass player Mouard Baali.
Smooth One biographical notes:
Smooth One comes from the abstract hip-hop scene. He wrote with Dj cam the two first album in 1996 and 1998, Underground Vibes and Substance. After a live album recorded in « Transmusicales » festival in Rennes and many remix for Air, Tek9 and Silent Poets, Smooth One decided to work alone, mainly on film music, and managing his own label, Superflux, which also published the soundtrack of NEW YORK ZERO ZERO & AMSTERDAM RECONSTRUCTION. http://www.lesuperflux.com/
