branches bare is a recording project involving 3 people: vocalist hollie, singer/songwriter rob & multi-instrumentalist jez. our influences include: radiohead, mark kozelek, sparklehorse, nick mccabe, mogwai, tom mcrae, hood, the boxer rebellion, the wrens, 6x7 & sigur ros.
jez is currently studying at birmingham university and rob & hollie have a two year old daughter, abigail, so recording is limited to what little free time we share.
we currently have two albums available: our self-titled debut, which includes former member simon livings on piano, and the recently completed '...press you into this'.

Indeed I believe that is a word, one thing I have to comment bout u is that u do insert sum random thoughts into sentences, one may see that as rambling but I just see that as "typical jez"... I wonder about what I shall get on results day too... I find that when people say "ahh you did ur best theres not much you can do" rather irritating, becoz altho they are rite, it doesnt make anyone feel any better, in addition to this is the fact that you think you worked hard... but did you really??... that is the ultimate question...
moving on from the depressing topic of results (21 days btw) I like the sound of this girl seeing as she has my same taste in music and I would like to point out that it is not a SHIT taste of music, as you dnt block out or discriminate against other types of music....

But post bday week not doing much, just hanging out with friends, then me going to Bath over the weekend (5th & 6th) basically to use the Hotel facilities and get a massage or two lol should be good.... but then the hard times set in.... mums got that operation on the 7th of August :| its a routine operation, but quite painful got to look after her, and shes gonna be out for 8 weeks, which will naturally make life difficult, but then she duz a lot for me neway soo i have to help! ....
Then comes D- Day (results) and then V!! and then UNIVERSITY (providing I get in).......

Lifes actually pretty good atm!! I have kind of had a MONTH of celebrations... well I like to think so..
PROM = 1st July
NYC = 6th-13th July...not much after (boring week)
LONDON = 24th July ... the girls came to see me in good old London town, went shopping, did a bit of this and a bit of that, ooh and Hard Rock Cafe....ahhh bliss
and of course as i'm sure you know my bday is this SUNDAY!!!
I plan to do more shopping this week, and probably go to a Motorshow (I know me at a car show!! WTF!!) ooh and then the traditional massive family meal! LOL
