Hello im JoBabe, lead singer of BRANDED. Im a yorkshire lass from barnsley tarn! BRANDED is the name of the band cos we like brands and use lots of them in the songs.Our aim as a band is to keep it real, we write about real things that affect real peoples lives, which is why humour and fun are a real focal point of all our songs, cos lets face it you can't take life too serious all of the time!!!
We have recorded a fair few songs now, including Tits out. If you've heard this song then u will probably get what its all about, if not then u may just think were being rude- but u'd be mistaken. This song is actually a world cup england anthem! U know the one when youve had too many vodka lime n lemonades(my favourite), SHOUTING TITS OUT FOR THE LADS! with the lasses on satdi night (you know who you are!). Well this song is for boys and girls alike- united in world cup football fever. Its a fun song and im sure i know plenty of birds who'd get em' out for David Beckham! Dont u?
Easyjet is another song along similar lines. Basically its about getting together with all ya pals, getting a cheap deal on easyjet, going to ibiza and getting your rocks off for the best 7 days and nights ever! The only time we can really let our hair down, and not give a f**k! We always try go away once a year me and the girls, and fly on easyjet, the song brings back many happy but also blurred memories!
I suppose all our songs are aimed at any one between the age of early teens right through to my grandma's age. although my little girl is 20 months and she loves to dance about to mummys songs, when she starts to understand a bit more i suppose ill have to stick S CLUB on (nightmare).
On my hot list at the moment are the artic monkeys, wicked band, put them on when i just need a good rock about the living room. Im really into Kaiser cheifs too, between them and the monkeys they've really put yorkshire music on the map! Sugarbabes for when im feeling a bit more chilled and basement jacks for when im getting ready to go out!
My favorite things are- the colour yellow, my little girls cute giggle, having a hair cut, yorkshire puds.
I hate- my bum, the fact that we dont live forever, hangovers and sunday drivers!
