Brand New Retro is Liam Fairclough, a 20 year old fellow with nothing but a computer, MicroKorg, microphone and Ted Danson's "How To Be A Successful Musician Vol. 6" to hand.
Inspired by playing Super Mario Brothers on rainy days as a youth, listening to Mezzanine for the first time in a darkened room and tuning into the strange world of shortwave radio...Brand New Retro likes to delve into the obscure world where only pixelated ghosts and midgets riding alpacas exist.
So have a blast in the fizzy fuzzy lo-fi world that is Brand New Retro, and if theer doesn't blow you away, the Bob-Omb's will!

The perfect state doesn’t exist. Let’s create it. Iperuramio is the planet that the FREeSHOUT!? festival wants to image with the help of as many creative minds as possible. This is the reason why proposals have been requested, to ask everyone to take on the role of creators of a new nation or state and to testimony its existence with their own art. The form to participate at the competition is available on the site www.freeshout.it. The best project will award a prize of 1000 euros.

It's for total beginners, but if you aren't new to music production, maybe you'll still learn something... at least you can send it to your friends who always want to ask you a billion questions about music production! It's totally free too; my goal with this is to accumulate as many BFF's as possible.
