Brandon Ficara has been entertaining audiences for eight years with his unique brand of stand-up comedy. His razor sharp wit, imaginative writing and keen observations make his act one of the most original and funny shows you can find. He blends self deprecation with a confident swagger to create a comedy cocktail all his own. With his unique look and personality audiences are left amazed, inspired and completely laughed out
Born in Philadelphia,Pennsylvania and raised in the seasonal beach community of Ocean City,New Jersey, Brandon used humor to combat the tribulations of life at an early age. Born with a Sprangles Deformity, a condition that required major back surgery when Brandon was three years old, Brandon used humor to combat pain and ostracism. His "unique look" would someday be the corner stone of his act. While growing up just nine miles outside of Atlantic City, he was afforded the privilege of seeing comedy legends at an early age. With both parents working at the Sands Hotel and Casino they would bring him to see the likes of Billy Crystal, Jerry Seinfeld, Howie Mandel, Alan King, and Richard Jeni. This exposure sparked an insatiable flame for stand up comedy that still burns brightly in him today.
At the age of twenty one Brandon Moved to Charleston, South Carolina. A year later he began his stand up career at The Comedy Zone in Charleston. After a few performances Brandon decided to return to his birthplace and pursue his comedy dream.
Brandon decided it was time to go west, but first he would return to the place his journey began. In a year and a half in Charleston, Brandon experienced a creative explosion writing a whole new act and became local favorite producing live shows at the upstairs bar above Sermets Restaurant. On one Tuesday night a hundred and seventy five people crowded the small bar to see Brandons imaginative new routine.
Soon after the success of his Charleston shows, he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck in the entertainment capital of the world. In two years in Los Angeles Brandon has under gone a period of growth and focus which has yet to find its ceiling. In addition to having his own weekly show at The Ha Ha Café, Brandon has started an acting career which includes a small role in a feature film and a commercial that aired during the Super bowl.
The future for this young talent is bright as he continually finds new ways to make the world laugh.
