A 5th generation Colorado native, Germer grew up in Palmer, Alaska after moving there from Arvada, Colorado at the age of 5. After spending his youth in the Talkeetnas learning about mountaineering and nature, as well as traveling and spending countless hours at punk shows and coffeehouses, he moved back to Colorado and earned a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in CIS along with a minor in Asian Studies and an uncompleted minor in Vocal Performance as a University Honors Scholar at Colorado State University.
During college, he worked incessantly on his poetic writing style and improving his expressive ability in music. He also nurtured his thirst for world travel and visited four more foreign countries, and even lived in Japan and trekked thru its North Alps for five months. His two guitars, a Martin DC15E and a Gibson ES135, "Jennifer", never left his side.
Post graduation, he moved back to Alaska, earned a job in the institutional global finance industry and continued to tenaciously pursue his passions of mountains, music, and poetry. Germer currently resides in Anchorage, Alaska.

It's been too long since we've shared a few brewskis. And I still haven't met that girl.....
