| General | I'm interested in many things, namely films and movies. I'm also interested in a fair and realistic representation of Asian Americans in all media and to raise awareness. Of course, I'm also interested in anything that melds the two above interests together. | | Music | I like many different types and kinds of music, depending on my mood. I'm partial to the soundtracks of movies as well, most notably Danny Elfman, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and the late Shirley Walker.
I don't really confine myself to any one genre, per se, nor do I necessarily have a certain loyalty to any one band/singer. | | Movies | Yes, I like movies. To list which ones would take a long time, and I have neither the patience nor the energy to list any favorites or make some sort of top 10 list. I like different movies for different reasons. I can't see myself making one list without making another, all based on different criteria. | | Television | I've watched much television in my life, and have come to realize that a lot of it has gone down hill in quality. I'm partial to the Simpsons (prior to season 10ish) and Family Guy. I'm also a fan of Lost. | | Books | American Born Chinese by Gene Luen Yang, although a short graphic novel, is a very good read that really stands out.
The book that really inspired me to be more active as an Asian American is Asian American Dreams by Helen Zia. | | Heroes | I was a huge fan of Batman and Superman. Both heralded positive ideals and goals from two very disparaging viewpoints. |

People with similar interests and goals as mine are always good to meet. I'd love to meet kindred spirits who understand and support me. I'd love to meet those who have the ability to affect great change in the lives of so many people. I'd love to meet filmmakers and learn more about the craft.
