We are a Texas Country band just starting out. The KEY to new Texas Country music is what some people call The Brandon Key Band. The Brandon Key Band was formed in May of 2006; when a few friends would always come over to jam and write songs. The day that Brandon went to a singer songwriter’s night and preformed his songsthat is when everything changed.
Brandon’s musical influences had a wide range like Johnny Cash, ZZ Top, Pat Green, Tom Petty, and Cross Canadian Ragweed, Hays Carl, Cory Morrow just to name a few. Brandon is a Texas Music fan to the bone. When walking into someone’s house, you would normally see normal house décor, but not in Brandon’s. There is an awesome collection of Texas Music T-shirts surrounding the living room with Doug Morland, Pat Green, Mike McClure, Kevin Fowler, Roger Creager, Jarrod Birmingham, Cory Morrow, Radny Foster, and Cross Canadian Ragweed, all of them singed personally. Fans say The Brandon Key Band consist of Brandon Key lead vocals/ rhythm guitar and the talented Paul Batchelder on mandolin/guitar. The Lazy Texas album is the first album The Brandon Key Band has recorded, these songs where mostly written by Brandon and a few friends. The Lazy Texas album has a wide variety of songs, from traditional country, to his own style of new Texas Country music. Brandon and Paul are both attending Texas A&M Kingsville majoring in Range and Wildlife Management. Brandon and Paul are both hard working individuals keeping on top of their school work and working as hunting guides during the hunting season on well known ranches in the Kingsville area. Brandon already has new songs brewing for the second album. The Brandon Key Band has Big Dreams for becoming one of the greatest songwriters in Texas Music.
