Bio
Born in the US, I studied classical piano from a young age and played bass guitar in Ithaca's 'gypsy rock' band, Gadje. In 1999 I fell in love with the accordion and began my accordion studies with Dominic Versage. While in the US I played accordion with Nuages, Ithaca's only French chansons group featuring French native Franck Vidal on vocals, and members of 'Djug Django'. I also met and performed with another French musician, Eric Denis. I moved to France in April 2010, and joined the Conservatoire in Manosque to study chromatic button accordion with Cecilia Negro and jazz performance with Julien Armani. Since my arrival in France, I've had the great opportunity to play with Histoires de Swing (jazz manouche from the region of Draguignan) and Street Swing Orchestra (French chansons with a jazz manouche touch, from the region of Aix-en-Provence). I look forward to expanding my musical horizons in the region. -
