Brandon Reid has been down a path or two in his time and with the release of Man Born Blind he lets listeners in on the lessons that he”s learned with a blend of honesty and earnestness that is sure to catch some off guard.
After a decade or so of searching, Brandon Reid sat down with an acoustic guitar and a handful of ideas that became the independently released debut, Empty Chair. The album touched thousands upon its release in 2004 and seven songs climbed into the Top Ten on various charts and four of them went all the way to 1.
The success of Empty Chair peaked when Brandon was named the
Breakout Artist of the Year. It was quite a year. It all happened in such a short period of time, he reports. It all started with radio, some of the songs started to chart, then people bought the record and before I knew it I was winning the award at the ACMA Awards.
Not only did he win the ACMA Awards but he went on to receive other awards as well such as being home the Male Vocalist of the Year Award and Songwriter of the Year Nomination at the LOS ANGELES Music Awards
He has gained countless magazine Cover Stories, Press, Radio and Television Appearances, TV and Film Work, Writing on an international level.
Reid has shared the stage with great artist such as Alice Cooper, Gretchen Wilson,Tesla, Steven Stills Steven, Stills and Nash, Don Felder Eagles, Aaron Lewis Stained, Boston, John Rich Big and Rich, Dirks Bentley, Eric Martin, Mr Big, Glen Hughes of Deep Purple, Ronnie Montrose, Holy Soldier, Tommy Shaw of the Styx, Ace Young (American Idol) CTA, Siren, Roger Clyne & The PeaceMakers, Jimmy Degrasso and David Ellefeson of Mega Death, Twisted Sister, Stryper, Kevin Max, DC Talk, Gary Hoey, Winger, Carman Appice, Billy Ashabugh, Chad Smith of Red Chili Peppers, among others.
Brandon is already nearly finished with his third album and will be looking to release the single in the 1st part of 09. "Can you say COUNTRY!
