What you need to know about me is that I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC!!! I always have and always will. The soundtrack to my earliest memories would include songs from Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard, Don Williams, Keith Whitley, Earl Thomas Conley, and Patsy Cline. I'm lucky to have had parents and grandparents that surrounded me with great music. I also am a fan of rock, pop and show tunes, but my heart has always been most moved by a great country song. I would say that is the number one reason why I call Nashville, Tennessee home.
Nine years ago I left my hometown Morton, Washington (population about 900), to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter. I attended Belmont University in hopes of learning how to better navigate this business of music. I don't know if it has helped any, but I know that it has cost me alot of money and will continue to until I have my first big hit. Speaking of big hits....that is what I am currently working on. I signed a publishing deal with Larga Vista Music four and a half years ago and have since had cuts on Amanda Wilkinson, Rebecca Lynn Howard and most recently, Heartland. Everyday I am writing towards that big hit that will propel me into a much higher tax bracket. Until then, you can catch me performing at any number of Nashville venues (French Quarter Cafe, Bluebird Cafe, Star Cafe).

I miss you, wish you could be here too. Yes Melissa and I have been hanging out a bit...we went camping over the Labor day weekend, spent NFL opening weekend together and we are celebrating her birthday this weekend. Spent Jubilee with Rachel, Melissa, Erin, and Heather...this year has been all about making time for the true friends in my life, I've been so out of touch for far too long. I actually thought about getting the girls together and coming down to see you, I have yet to make the Nashville trip. Might have to wait for Kael to be a little bit older though. Funny you mention my mom and her kitchen table, believe it or not but it's still the same only we gather mostly around the patio table on the deck, but she still has her coke and cig, she will never change! ;)
