We're a totally volunteer effort to bring more local art and music to Wilmington. We're home to local rock and roll luminaries Sexon Horses, The Headies, Tit Patrol, The Impatients, Hot Toddy and the Wilmington Wastoids, and Cave Bats in the Gold Dust, with others moving in soon. We play host to many other local and touring bands and artists. Maybe you want to grace our hallowed halls too?

Born in 2007, The Spot is the place in Wilmington for local music and arts. Our venue is managed and staffed by volunteers dedicated to bringing more live and visual art to downtown Wilmington. Our multipurpose space is home to Gallery 1908, a showcase for local artists which is a part of Wilmington's art loop. We are co-located with the Urban Bike Project, a non-profit bicycle reclamation and education group. We host performances of all sorts in our space. If you're interested in setting something up, send us a message. We're looking forward to hosting a local and independent film night on a recurring basis. Any ideas are welcome, talk to us!
