Né le 25 septembre 1976 à Papeete, Tahiti, Polynésie Française.
Fils de musicien, Branscombe a toujours été attiré par la chanson et la guitare.
A partir de ses 14 ans, il part aux Etats-Unis une fois par an et s’imprègne de la musique américaine.
En 1998, il travaille dans la ferme perlière familiale à Ahe (Tuamotu). Un peu seul, il compose, compose et compose.
En 2006, il débute des animations musicales avec Guy Laurens.
En février 2007, Alain Lievens-Demeyere du Fritkot Studio (Tahiti), le contacte. (voir aussi www.myspace.com/fritkotstudio et www.myspace.com/zikprod. Branscombe et Zik Prod sarl signent les contrats de production et de management.
Des week-ends musicaux, des arrangements, des ch--urs, bref, l’album de Branscombe prend forme.
Alain Lievens le présente au concours 9 semaines et 1 jour (organisé par RFO) le 16 mars 2007.
Le premier album « JADE » est dans les bacs à Tahiti le 29 novembre 2007.
Born on September 25, 1976 in Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia under the name of Branscombe, Richard, Teremoana CHAVE.
Son of a musician, he has always been attracted to the world of music.
At the age of 14 he travelled to the USA to improve his English which led him to be as well impregnated with the local US music.
In 1998 he is working with his family in their pearl farm (Tuamotu islands).
All by himself, he compose and compose and compose !
Later on, he decides to leave the Tuamotu islands and come back to Papeete to take his chance in music.
In 2006, under the name of Teremoana, he performs live shows with Guy Laurens, a famous singer in Tahiti.
In February 2007 he is contacted by Alain Lievens-Demeyere (www.myspace.com/fritkotstudio
Later on, contracts of production and management are signed with ZIK PROD (www.myspace.com/zikprod
Six months of production, 3 months delay of mixing, the album « JADE » is released on 30th November 2007.
From now on he chooses to be recognized as BRANSCOMBE (a name that is transmitted in his family throught generations), for his musical career.
