"And there came Michael with that freaking voice, man!" exclaimed Lon Van Eaton, producer and founder of Imagine a Better World Productions during a vodka-fueled jam session in Castle Rock, Colorado. That was 10 years ago, during a time when the young artist Michael Brass began unveiling for the first time, on a four-track mixer, sketches of a clear talent for interpreting and writing melodies with a vintage color palette.
His signature style followed him throughout his four solo albums, as well as during multiple collaborations in Europe and the United States.
Over the past 10 years, Michael has multiplied his projects and shows, written and co-written well over 100 songs in English, French and Spanish, and has been able to leave diehard fans of 60s powerpop in awe. The same goes for lovers of Philly soul and the great Motown era.
Michael's career has taken him on quite a ride! From France, working with Paul Rauzy (lyricist for the famous French composer Pierre Groscolas) to California where he wrote for Reyn Mercuri (founder of 5 Talententertainment.) From private events (Art et Scene Production, Inc.), to receiving playtime on massively heard radio stations (NRJ). From performing before an effervescent live audience at festivals (Motorock) to the pin-drop silence of a solo artist in his home studio. Michael lives the life he has chosen to the fullest and is on the road where everything is up ahead, emotions being the compass that leads him to memorable encounters and surprises...to that special moment when a wink to a fan in the first row means, "Wait, there's much more to come.."
