Bio
I have been, for the past several years, working with one particular family of artists: The Temple Dynasty (check my friends!) ...but families have a tendency to grow, and this one is no different. The latest addition to the family is the ever wonderful and gifted DJ/Producer, Louie “Lou” Gorbea. I started out a few years back by working with a dear lifelong friend, Diamond Temple (Love’s Masquerade, Fly, I Never Knew, Keep Rising, Lose Control)…and I’m moving forward with someone who has become a dear friend. Brazen Muse Entertainment is very pleased to announce a new partnership…with none other than Louie “Lou” Gorbea. Anyone who knows Lou probably knows his roots are in dance (danced with Alvin Ailey and American Ballet Theatre). Those who love his work will probably agree that the roots of his excellence as a DJ and producer lie in his dancer’s intuitive understanding of how music moves people, body and spirit. Lou’s focus on audience response makes each of his sets unique and infuses his production work with an essence that can never be faked. The first time yours truly heard Lou spin, I got my life on that floor, from the moment I hit it until someone dragged me away…I think “City, Country, City” really did it! There are very few DJs that capture the imagination so thoroughly and this man is certainly one of those few. There are few who can cross genres fearlessly, and Lou is one of them. Louie “Lou” Gorbea is known as a DJ, Louie Vega introduced him recently as his own favorite DJ. If you haven’t had a chance to be on a dance floor where Lou was spinning, check him out on www.podomatic.com/profile/louielougorbea .We are honored to have been able to establish this relationship and are looking forward to a long and successful partnership. But Louie Lou’s production work is a testimony to the depth of his knowledge about music and what moves people’s minds and spirits. His DJ resume speaks for itself, as does the body of his production work, from his amazing collaboration with The Temple Dynasty & Chris Perez on “Keep Rising” through his work with Anane on “Walking on Thin Ice,” “Feeling Good” with Jannae Jordon and the current two releases: “Something’s Gotta Give” with Producer Chris Perez (Blvd East, anyone?) and artist Queen AaMinah, available at http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=60560 “Free Man 2010” with DJ/Producer Duce Martinez, currently available at http://www.traxsource.com/index.php?act=show&fc=tpage&cr=titles&cv=61279 . There is so much more good music coming down the pike, trust and believe that. If you want to see more, take a look at the recently launched www.louielougorbea.com .
