Formed in 2007, Breaching Vista is a rock band focused on bringing the basic fundamentals of entertainment back into the live show. Breaching Vista's set is undeniable in grabbing audience attention with compelling lyrics over rock music. The band furthers the experience with audience participation and the result is a passionate crowd singing along and moving to the distinct sound that is Breaching Vista.
A refreshing blend of rock anthems with sing-a-longs and hooks, Breaching Vista is breaking away from the boundaries of today's modern independent scene.
Garnering rave reviews from fans and local media, independently released EP, Breaking The View (produced by Siegfried Meier), is proof that Breaching Vista can measure up to the competition on-and-off the stage.
In their first year, Breaching Vista has already shared the stage with such notable acts as Hedley (Universal), Protest The Hero (Vagrant Records), Social Code (Universal), Farewell to Freeway (Victory Records), These Silhouettes (Underground Operations), Sydney (Black Box Recordings), Billy The Kid (Lost Records), and rising Canadian R&B/Soul diva Kreesha Turner (EMI), along with Quebec City favourites Tailor Made Fable (Viva La Musique). Breaching Vista also took part in the closing ceremonies of the 2008 Canada Day celebrations held @ Columbia Lake, Waterloo, Ontario, in front of an estimated 30-50 Thousand spectators.
"One of the coolest bands to come out in a long time. With some great songs, new band Breaching Vista has come in to work on 4 new songs with me. With the focus being strong songs and hooks, this EP is sure to strike a chord with lots of everyday listeners - as well as the scene kids." by Siegfried Meier (Record Producer of 'Breaking the View' EP)
“Breaking the View, is a veritable primer on crafting catchy, hook-laden tunes that showcase all the best elements of the genre. Though this type of music has been done before (think Billy Talent, Sum 41, Jimmy Eat World, etc), it is not often done this well. When it comes to this particular brand of aggressive-yet-accessible radio-rock, Breaching Vista are exemplary representatives of their ilk.”
