Breakaway is the most recent band to hit the Nebraska country-rock scene,
and they are taking it by storm. From the bars of North Platte to the
casinos of Council Bluffs, there is never a dull moment with Breakaway on
the stage. Though they specialize in rock-your-face-off country music, they
refuse to be boxed in by that label. The band’s uniqueness comes from each
member bringing their own musical background to the table, from funk and
blues to country and hard rock with just a hint of classical. Armed with a
setlist that includes your favorite radio hits from the likes of Sugarland,
Pat Benetar, and Dierks Bentley, as well as a few personal favorites from
Alannah Myles and Van Halen, it’s hard to find a song you don’t love!
