Interests

  • Music

..My musical list would fill up this entire page and you would feel intimidated by just how much music I love! Any music that's loud, aggressive and makes you want to go out and do some major damage, but then again, if you know me, then you're never really sure where I stand musically. I discovered my true musical calling when I found the 80's punk hardcore scene - ran away at age 13 to NYC and lived with seminal punk rockers from Warzone (RIP Ray Beez '97) and the Cro-Mags, as well as crewed at CBGB's. It all spawns from there and I have not let go of any of that intensity since.

I think that the new interest in punk music is a good thing and that just because bands can now actually make some money doing what they love does NOT make them sell outs as long as they do it on their own terms and not by signing their soul away to the brass asses. I will miss my 80's memories at the now torn down/defunct CBGB's, but believe that music belongs everywhere and anywhere - not just bound to a an address, or a building, or a city.
  • Movies

..yeah, I watch 'em, but I get into fights at the movie theaters - so I end up watching a lot of them at home now or at friends. Any movie with Bill Murray in it will make me cry (if you know me you know why) and any movie with rockstars Jodie Foster, Cate Blanchet, Sigourney Weaver, or Hans Matheson, Anthony Hopkins, Robert DeNiro- I am there.
  • Television

..TV leeches your mind and your creativity. Although my father would talk to his TV and said that god is in there. Who knows... doesn't matter anyway - who the fuck reads this shit anyway... ask me yourself and I'll tell you...
  • Books

..Currently reading "Psychology of Architectural Design" by Omer Akin
  • Heroes

..People that run the marathon in under 4 hours, People that can actually communicate (say what they feel WHEN they feel it), People who know that selfishness is not a bad thing - it's self righteousness that is the problem, People who support the arts in a world where reality TV and convenience stores rule, People that live their life with passion & not with apathy on the couch, People who realize there is no god and that you create your own destiny. Hey, you asked...

Funny story...I threw on the breakbone tank top you gave me at the show to go hang out in the park and totally wiped out in this huge mudslide puddle thing. It seemed very fitting and luckily i didn't get anything on the shirt. Thanks again and it was nice to meet you

Thank you sis for the birthday wish. I came down with a miserable cold so not doing anything until I feel better. But, I have plans on celebrating and treating myself to something nice when I feel better. BTW...will be in Chicago Wednesday for a neuro-opthamology appointment at Rush. I have an eye that is hypersensitive and dilates when ever it pleases..lol. MRI seems to be fine but this guy gets into the quirky works of the brain and eye functions and he may be able to explain why this is happening. Anyway, love ya - Jen
