Over the past three years Break-Down has moved from a tiny attic room of a Dingy Northside Boozer to the Best Club Venue in Dublin and has been almost everywhere in between. What started out as a few guys playing their favourite records to some close friends has now become Dublin's premier party session exploring all forms of breakbeat music from Hiphop, Reggae, Funk, nufunk, Dancehall, Dubstep, Baltimore and Drum n Bass and beyond.
Not content with just being a club night the guys have formed a live band (The Break-Down Ban) consisting of Dj's, Live sax, Percussion and an MC / Vocalist - that has rocked festivals and clubs throughout the country.
in late 2009 a new era has begun for Break-Down, one that the guys are most excited about. . . Break-Down Records - a digital and Vinyl outleg for the guys to release their own tunes and some artists from the UK and Europe. The Label is Primarily dealing with the ever growing Nufunk Sound but is as always open to all forms of breakbeat.
