Breakfast at Phoebe's is a group originally from Helsinki, but now based in Paris. Our style doesn't easily suit under one specific genre. You could hear influences from for example pop, jazz, soul, folk, so called world music, rock, indie, classical music etc. Many people often says that our songs could be made for a film. So maybe you could say it's kind of urban pop music for an imaginary film.
Brakfast at Phoebe's is lead by young Finnish composer-pianist Mikael Kuosmanen. Couple years ago he met the singer Tua and they started to work together on Mikael's songs. In 2008 the first demo was recorded in Helsinki with Finnish musicians and released on myspace and some gigs were held in Helsinki. But at the end of december 2008 came a moment for some changes, when Mikael moved to Paris. So then Breakfast at Phoebe's started to work between Helsinki and Paris, including musicians from Paris and Finland.
In summer Breakfast at Phoebe's had gigs in Paris and Helsinki.
A new fresh EP will be released first in myspace song by song. Then available also as mp3 and as a limited vinyl edition.
