About Break It Up

MyGen Profile Generator

Influenced by 80s hardcore like Insted, Chain Of Strength, Uniform Choice etc...., Break It Up formed in 2003 as a four piece with original bassist Pete. We added a second guitarist in Graeme after recording the demo to become a five piece. We go through bassists at a Spinal-Tap-like rate and along the way Pete was replaced by Sid and then Paul, who will hopefully stay with us for some time. Taking on Paul and Graeme over the years means, together with founder member, Sean, we currently have all the guitarists from Voorhees' Spilling Blood era which is pretty kool. Lins and Chris have also remained in the band from day one As well as playing bass Pete and Sid did the artwork for our demo and LP respectively and made significant song-writing contributions for which we thank them. The demo and LP are available in various formats and guises from places like www.revhq.com www.outofstep.co.uk or www.deadandgonerecords.com
