Brea is really excited about the impending release of her new album Somewhere To Go. It has been three years since her No Regrets came out, and a lot has happened in that time. Changes in performance venue and style, songwriting partners, musical styles, influences and producers all add up to a whole new direction for Brea’s recorded music and live shows. Look now for a country/rock/pop perspective in her musical snapshots. She has been writing with Barry Brown and Keith Glass, who have been influential in building her songwriter’s craft. Keith, as Somewhere To Go‘s producer, has helped Brea drive the new direction of her music. And the new album features songs co-written with both Barry and Keith, as well as new material of her own. Brea recently realised a dream by playing the main stage at Carleton Place’s RiverJam at the end of July 2010. That show has given her even more momentum for upcoming projects. In her near future are plans for the release of the new CD (and the release party!), a trip to Nashville, and her annual Red Cross Anti-bullying Campaign tour of western Canada and of course her writing (which never ends) and the local shows she does. ........Get Brea on itunes .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. Bio:
Brea is a young Canadian artist whose body of work reflects her personal search for meaning. Try to mesh country, pop and a little rock, and you'll have an inkling of this young lady's style. She is recording her upcoming CD with Juno Award Winner Keith Glass (Prairie Oyster) To be out Aug. 2010.
Her extraordinary vocals, her passion and her unique writing style put her in a class all her own. During her career she has gained a loyal following of fans that identify with the things that have become important to her. As the National Spokesperson for the Canadian Red Cross - RespectEd program, Brea tours western Canada each fall, performing and speaking to students in schools about the affects of bullying.
Her second album "no regrets" was produced by Ottawa's Joe Turner and UK world renowned Producer, Stu Epps. Stu is well known for his work with Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Bill Wyman, George Harrison and many more. Brea has continued writing with many talented writers including Country Hall of Fame, Barry Brown.
Brea has dedicated much of her childhood to music and wouldn't change a thing. She has accomplished more than some people only dream of and if you ask her she’ll tell you … "it’s been worth every second…I have "No Regrets." Brea just completed another video for her song "If I'm Not Here Tomorrow" and dedicated it to Military Men and Women everywhere, with the greatest respect. It can be viewed on her websites as well as on Youtube.
