About me: Breastfest Cleveland is an annual music and arts festival. Breastfest 8 will be held Saturday, October 4th, 2008 with performances by Kristine Jackson, Ki Allen, Heidi Longhauer, Robin Stone, Alexis Antes, Claudia Schieve, Becky Boyd, Tracy Marie, Cherylann Hawk, Brittany Davidson, Jackie Warren, Rachel Roberts and special guests, The Bad Boys of Blues with more TBA!!!
This event is planned by local artists and other volunteers and help to promote breast cancer awareness and support the financial needs of patients and their families.
In the seven years of BREASTFEST, thousands of dollars have been raised, funds that have gone to financially help breast cancer patients and families directly through the Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center’s Barbara A Leslie Fund. BREASTFEST Cleveland has also helped pay for the cost to supply free mammograms at Cleveland Clinic Breast Center, and monies have gone to important local resources such as the Northern Ohio Breast Cancer Coalition Fund.
BREASTFEST Cleveland has held events at various Cleveland venues including The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, The Beachland Ballroom, The Hi-Fi Concert Club, The Happy Dog and The Parkview Niteclub. The music and arts showcase features up and coming Cleveland based and regional female artists and musicians.
In 2008, Breastfest will be held at Brothers Lounge at 11609 Detroit Avenue in Cleveland on Sat. October 4th starting at 5pm. Proceeds from this year's event will be donated to Good Intention Foundation, Inc. Tickets are available online at: Inticketing.com They plant one tree for every ticket sold through this service.
