About me: Join the CAUSE today at Breathe Easy Ride
Saturday, June 30, 2007 Join the CAUSE at Breathe Easy Ride This popular one day bike ride is the American Lung Association of California's largest, annual fundraising event. Held on Sat., June 30, 2007 in Rohnert Park at Sonoma Mountain Village, the Breathe Easy Ride attracts competitive cyclists from corporate teams, cycling clubs and coalitions, and members of the community with a strong connection to lung disease. Cyclists travel from all over California to participate in this fully supported, clean air and lung healthy ride.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS RIDE? The American Lung Association the oldest public health organization in the U.S., the foremost defender of clean air, strives to mitigate the ill effects of poor air quality to protect those with asthma, emphysema, lung cancer and other chronic lung disease. Breathe Easy Ride raises funds and awareness to support education, research and advocacy programs so that everyone can breathe easier. Participants ride to support issues critical to family health – improving air quality, eliminating lung disease, and keeping kids tobacco free. Air pollution is the top environmental concern of Americans. More than 35 million Americans are living with chronic lung disease. In some parts of the Bay Area, 1 in 4 children suffer from asthma. Lung cancer kills more women than breast cancer, ovarian, and cervical cancer combined. Lung disease is America’s #3 killer and is increasing at a faster pace than heart disease and cancer. Occupational lung disease is the number one work- related illness. Proceeds support the mission of the American Lung Association to prevent lung disease and promote lung health.

I am so glad that you support FacesForACure and are one of my friends. Together I know that we will band together, unite our community and do wonderful things to help heal those with cancer.
What can you do to support facesforacure.com further?
Check out FacesForACure.Com and consider adding to the digital mosaic that I am working diligently to fill up completely. The wall stands for strength, motivation and inspiration to aid the healing of the millions of cancer fighters out there.
When the wall is full, half of the proceeds will go straight to Cancer Research to help aid the discovery of the cure. At that point, another wall will be opened up so we can continue to create a visual of our strong community.

Alternative energy is also good for your lungs! Less auto pollution & coal particulates.
We hope that people will use alternative energy products (i.e. solar, wind and ethanol) in order to lessen America’s reliance on Middle Eastern oil and to reduce the impact of global warming.
Speak out! Tell President Bush and the Congress that you support alternative energy. We also hope you will list us as one of your top Myspace friends so that more people will join the fight to stop global warming & to reduce oil imports. You can also visit our site in order to email the President, your Senator or Congressman about global warming & the high cost of gas.
