Born in 1982, Bregje Sanne Lacourt grew up with artists like Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Tina Turner. Later on in 1990 when Mariah Carey came with her first single ”Vision of Love,” she sold her heart to singing. The magic of a voice and the impact it can have on people was what she wanted to make her own.
While listening to other great voices like Whitney Houston, Beverly Craven and others she tried to copy their way of singing and that’s the way she learned the basics.
After many years of ballet and piano lessons she started her singing lessons at the age of 17. Those lessons supplied enough knowledge and skills to audition for the Pop Academy of the Rotterdam Conservatory at the age of 19. After a successful audition she graduated four years later as one of the best students of her year.
She started working in those same four years in studios as a demo singer.
In her third year she wrote some lyrics for songs by Martijn Spierenburg (Within Temptation), which delivered her a publishing deal.
After many different bands in different genres she decided to stay close to herself and make music more based on her roots. Lacourt was founded in 2007 and is still going strong.
The first ep was released in March 2008 and they have plans to record their debut album in the summer of 2010.

Bregje now works as a singing coach, performing and writing artist and she works for a Jazz café at the bookings and pr department.

Lacourt contains her own songs in co-writing with Renzo van Riemsdijk.
They recorded this EP in studio stereo-type in Rotterdam with great support of Diego van Uden.
All songs are pieces of her past, present and wishfull future.

BIOGRAFIE LACOURT
Lacourt is de band rond het schrijversduo Bregje Lacourt (zang, 1982) en gitarist Renzo van Riemsdijk (1973). Zij ontmoetten elkaar in 2007 in de Rotterdamse muziekscene en werken sinds die tijd aan de liedjes van Lacourt.
Songwriterpop met country en rockinvloeden à la Sheryl Crow, Thomas Dybdahl en Fleetwood Mac zijn de ingrediënten, gegoten in een band met twee gitaristen (soms met lapsteel gitaar), een bassist en een drummer.
De eerste promotie ep van Lacourt is onlangs gepresenteerd in thuishaven Rotterdam. Alle nummers zijn samen met producer Diego van Uden opgenomen in de Stereo-type thuisstudio en de daaruit volgende ep is het resultaat van twee jaar hard werken, schrijven en opnemen. Medio volgend jaar is de release van het eerste album van Lacourt gepland.
De bandleden van Lacourt hebben hun sporen reeds verdiend in andere projecten en een optreden van Lacourt is een intieme ervaring met uitstapjes naar melancholie en een gezonde dosis zelfspot.
Lacourt staat inmiddels drie keer geprogrammeerd op straatfestival De Parade in de zomer van 2009 en speelde onlangs akoestisch in theater Walhalla in Rotterdam Zuid.

L.Veda:
L.Veda is a project of a very good friend of her, Richard van Leenen.
He makes his fine tunes with several other people and mostly friends in his own livingroom.
She took part of this project in 2005 and she's still working on songs with him.
Big Billy and Movement are the first songs finished with her voice and lyrics on it.
In this corporation she can put all her own stories in floating and very colourfull music.
It's a totally differend side of her and she's glad to have found her musical buddy in Richard.

In 2006 she's got an invitation from Michel Ebben to come and sing a song at the local pub in Rotterdam.
From that point on they work as a coverduo in that same Irishpub and they increased their playground from weddings, small cafe's to officeparty's.

Boom boom du terre speelt op het Gogbot festival in Enschede. Dat is natuurlijk al heel gaaf, maar omdat de meeste bekende van Boom boom du Terre in het westen van Nederland wonen en het lastig vinden om naar Enschede te komen organiseren wij een bus trip van Rotterdam naar het Gogbot festival in de Atak in Enschede.
Op 11 september om 19:15 vertrekt de bus van plein 1940 (bij het Maritiem museum) in Rotterdam naar het Gogbot festival in de Atak in Enschede. De kaartjes zijn € 25,- inclusief Entree bewijs, merchandise en CD en natuurlijk retour met de bus van Rotterdam naar Enschede.

Hallo! Donderdag 25 juni is mijn eindexamenconcert in Theater Walhalla in Rotterdam. Ik sluit die avond mijn conservatoriumtijd af en luid mijn theatertijd in. Het lijkt me erg leuk als je er ook bij bent! Er zijn maar een beperkt aantal kaarten beschikbaar, het is dus verstandig als je bij mij een kaartje besteld.

Hoi Bregje, Heb net even je cd geluisterd, ik had natuurlijk al wat liedjes op Myspace gehoord. Klinkt echt te gek! Allemaal goeie liedjes en ook de sound is echt fantastisch! "Don't leave me" vind ik vooral waanzinnig klinken en dan zeker dat eind! (Ik hoop dat ik de goeie titel heb, maar ik bedoel in ieder geval nummer 2!
