About Brehon Law

Brehon Law formed in Sept. 2000 - shortly after David Lally walked into Tom Giblin’s in search of fame and fortune (still working on that) and met owners, Ned and Brenda Giblin.

David and Ned - both from the West of Ireland - were playing music the very next night.

After zero practice over a prolonged period of time the lads developed their unique sound which has been described as "in your face Irish music" and varies from lightning reels and jigs to soulful ballads and modern acoustic pain.

David plays rhythm and lead guitar and sings lead and harmony vocals while Ned plays rhythm guitar, mandolin, tin whistle, bodhran and also sings lead and harmony vocals.

Brad Rehn joins them on percussion - filling out a surprising sound from just three performers.

Douglas	May 8 2008 10:11 PM Hey Guys, my wife and I look forward to your engagements at R O'Sullivans when ever we learn you are playing. It's nice having an Irish Pub within in a 10 minute walk! Anyway, I was up in Riverside a few days ago and had lunch at Killarnys and what do I hear...You Guys. All the patrons were commenting on the music so i had to tell them about your schedule in both Escondido and Fallbrook. One other thing, have you heard Brian Adams unplugged live album? He has a track of "Cuts Like a Knife" that is done with a Celtic flare....the whistle, mandoline and all. It's worth a listen...you guys would make it ROCK!

Hopefully when I am in the area I can see you guys perform again! My all time favorite song is Ride On with Ned singing, wish I could get my hands on a recording of that one!
