My name is Breland Kent, I am 21 years old and have been singing on stage since I was seven years old. I have sung at school events, weddings, and business openings. Singing is my passion. I have been the guest singer at numerous events including a special appearence singing on stage with G.G. Shinn and The Hot Damn Band. G.G. Shinn is a local celebrity that owns a very popular and successful nightclub in the Alexandria area.
I have sung on stage at many festivals in front of a crowds of 1,000 and more.
I have competed and won many singing competitions including first place for best singer at The Rebel State Museum.
My sound is rather unique and I have my own style but I am influenced by the music of the great Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. I love rock and roll and the blues but I can sing any style of music including Country, Pop and R&B.
My heart is in music and singing but I am multi-talented. I am a model and actress. I was in the movie, The Initiation Of Sarah, filmed in Shreveport La as a cast extra and I worked with Jennifer Tilly, Morgan Fairchild, Mika Borem and Summer Glau.
I've also been in a few local beauty pageants. I have won Queen in the Miss Madi Gras Pageant here in Alexandria LA for the year of 2008.
Currently I am under NO contracts and I'm awaiting the next big thing to further my career in the music industry. I hope that maybe one day my dreams will come true and I will sign with an indie or major record label, but while I'm awake, I will be waiting patiently for that day to come.
