Influences
Breaking Benjamin, Dream Theater, Opeth, In Flames, Alice In Chains, Nightwish, Stone Temple Pilots, Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Dido, Dark Tranquility, Filter, Nickelback, The Defaced, Scar Symmetry, Delerium, Depeche Mode, Sigur Ròs, Björk, Damien Rice...the list goes on and on and on and on...
[BRËN] is an Alernative Rock singer-songwriter similar to acts such as Breaking Benjamin, Dream Theater, and Alice In Chains and calls Southern California home.
As an Alumnus of the Vocal Institute of Technology and Recording Artist Program at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California, [BRËN] has had the opportunity to study and interact with some of the Music Industry's most respected veterans, such as “The Musician's Handbook” author and UCLA Lecturer, Bobby Borg, ‘Cher’ Producer Ritchie Zito, and critically acclaimed, Grammy-winning song-writer, Michael Anderson.
During his time at M.I., [BRËN] was the drummer for the Los Angeles-based metal band, Rattlehead, headlining every major venue on the Sunset Strip on peak nights in prime time slots (most notably the ‘Whisky A Go-Go’ and the coveted ‘Key Club’). [BRËN] was afforded the opportunity to not only study the technical aspects of musicianship and song-writing at Musician's Institute, but also gained real-world experience.
[BRËN]'s debut solo album, "Anywhere But Here...", is unique because he performs all the instruments and vocals on the album. [BRËN] is optimistic about "Anywhere But Here..." which has already generated some buzz in the music industry. He recently completed music videos for his first two singles from the self-produced release, the songs "Epic" and "Worth The Weight."
[BRËN] was recently featured in Style-ology Magazine's Anniversary Issue as their highlighted artist. He was also the spotlight artist in Bakotopia Magazine.
In addition, he recently made his terrestrial radio debut on the KRAB 106.1 FM (Clearchannel) show "The Tracking Room," a full quarter-hour of [BRËN]'s music and a broadcast interview. [BRËN]'s song "Worth The Weight" is the theme-song for the show and receives regular spins as a result.
[BRËN] is currently represented by IMTAgency and under the management of Margaret Guiraud.

yeah i got the tracks, been listening like crazy these last few days, and practicing. you got some cool stuff going on with the drums in those songs. let me know whenever you would like to set something up for a possible audition or whatever it is you need to do.
We picked it cuz it basically sums up the album. Alot of the songs are about getting away from either someone that hurt you, or onto a better life, and just wanting to get away so it went perfect with the song lyrics. Ah well thats cool dude hopefully we can get a show together sometime that would be awesome! We recorded at Killingsworth Recording in LA they did all the mastering and stuff we just have to send our artwork and files to Diskmakers to get it all duplicated and then were set.
Did you record your album just by yourself with your own equipment or did you go to a studio?
Yeah we have an album coming out in a couple months. And so you know the title is "Anywhere but here" lol i know thats your album title but we had no idea so don't think were trying to copy you or anything cuz we are not. We have to get it duplicated and stuff right now then it will be out.
I listened to your stuff. And its great! especially cuz you wrote everything yourself! Thats awesome! Your videos are tight too!
I remember we were gonna play a show with u at the Gate about a month or so ago but then u weren't there lol. What happened with that we were looking forward to hearing you.
Hei! Thanks for your comment <3 Maybe the left one but I'm not sure anymore. This was drawn about 2 years ago and now I'm working on something else that will probably be my tattoo one day ;) But this one you commented on was meant to be on the left shoulder.
Hey Bren! Nice meeting you the other night also.We seem to share the same view on a lot of things in the music industry.Hope to see you again sometime.Have an awesome day!
