...... ....BRENDAN CROSKERRY .... .. ..Brendan Croskerry was born on July 24, 1985 in St. John’s Newfoundland, on the east coast of Canada. At the early age of five his parents enrolled him in the local Canadian Conservatory of Music. The first few years of practice and lessons were grueling work, but what previously seemed to be a chore, soon became a hobby. By the age of 13, he was experimenting with other instruments, guitar bass and drums, and got a basic understanding for them. ..In 2005 the release of his debut solo album, Tapas EP, proved to be Brendan's first serious project. The genre was easy listening, and took its name from the Spanish tradition of eating small delicacies and appetizers from a succession of bars. Each song on the CD reflected the diversity of tapas typically enjoyed in a soirée. ..Also during 2005 he won a scholarship to study at the Universidad de La Rioja, in Logroño, Spain. Integrating quickly into the music scene, he formed an international band La Casaloca with a violinist from Germany a soul singer from Venice, Italy. The multinational band created a strong bond within the international student population that year. During this time, Brendan met producer Miguel Ángel Andrés and Paulino Lorenzo from the Contactados label. ..“Superman is on Holidays”, his first commercial release, was featured on the international selling compilation albums Disco Estrella in 2007, and Supermodelo 2007. Both compilations reached number 1 in Spain, enduring a total of 8 weeks in the number 1 spot. ..In 2008 he released his debut album “Goodbye harrier”, produced by Leroy Quintyn of the independent Spanish label Contactados Factoría Musical. .. In 2009, Brendan started to work to new material and signed a contract worldwide with the Italian label Just Entertainment. At the end of December, he released “She’s alright”, the first single from the new album “Passing times”. After only few days, the song – a smooth pop ballad influenced by funk and soul - was in heavy rotation on the most important Italian networks. The second single, “Radio love song” will be brought out in spring and the album – licensed in Italy by Sony Music – in autumn 2010. .. .. .._____________________________________.. .. .. ....BRENDAN CROSKERRY .... .. ..Brendan Croskerry nasce il 24 Luglio 1985 a St. John’s Newfoundland, sulla costa orientale del Canada. A soli 5 anni i genitori lo iscrivono al Canadian Conservatory of Music; i primi anni sono di studio estenuante, ma ben presto, quella che inizialmente sembra pura routine, si trasforma in un hobby, tanto che a 13 anni inizia a sperimentare anche altri strumenti, tra cui chitarra, basso e batteria. .. .. Nel 2005 Brendan realizza il suo primo EP solista, chiamato Tapas EP. Il titolo prende spunto dalla tradizione spagnola di mangiare piccole sfiziosità e stuzzichini passando di bar in bar, e ogni canzone riflette sulle diverse tipologie tapas mangiate in una sera. .... Sempre nel 2005, Brendan ottiene una Borsa di Studio per l’Universidad de la Rioja, a Logrono, in Spagna. Appena giunto nel capoluogo della più piccola delle regioni spagnole, si integra immediatamente con la scena musicale locale e forma una band internazionale chiamata La Casaloca, che vede la partecipazione di un violinista tedesco e di una cantante soul veneziana. La band riscuote un così grande successo tra gli studenti stranieri, che riesce a garantirsi un incontro con i produttori dell’etichetta Contactados, Miguel Angel Andrès e Paulino Lorenzo. .... “Superman is on Holidays”, il primo successo commerciale di Brendan, viene incluso nelle compilation internazionali “Disco Estrella 2007” e “Supermodelo 2007”. Entrambi gli album raggiungono la vetta della classifica, per un totale complessivo di 8 settimane alla posizione numero 1. .... Nel 2008 realizza inoltre il suo album di debutto, intitolato “Goodbye Harrier”, prodotto da Leroy Quintin dell’etichetta indipendente spagnola Contactados Factoria Musical. .... Nel 2009, Brendan inizia a lavorare al nuovo materiale e firma un contratto mondiale con l’etichetta Italiana Just Entertainment. Alla fine di Dicembre esce “She’s alright”, primo estratto dal nuovo lavoro “Passing Times”. Il brano – una raffinata ballata dal sapore d’oltremanica in cui sonorità pop si mischiano a influenze funk e soul – dopo solo pochi giorni è già in heavy rotation su tutti i più importanti network nazionali. In primavera è prevista l’uscita del secondo singolo “Radio love song”, mentre l’album – in Italia distribuito da Sony Music - è atteso per l’autunno 2010. .... .. ...... ...... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ...... .. ..
