sports (especially GOLF, soccer & kickball, but also football, volleyball, tennis, platform tennis, scuba diving, etc.), having fun, good times, good music (no whiny, echo-y crap), travelling, eating good food, cooking, drinking, drinking and smelling coffee, wine tasting, good hoppy beer, philosophizing, arguing, sushi, sleeping (but not napping), being outside, camping, hiking, biking, food shopping but not clothes shopping, snacks, laughing, playing games, shenanigans, lounging, headlamps, University of Wisconsin, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Twins, the law, trivia, crosswords, oh and GOLDEN TEE...
Music
pretty much anything but country. I have recently been trying to expand my musical horizons, so to speak.
Still listen to a lot of Dylan, Grateful Dead, Neil Young...also Miles Davis, Coltrane, Garcia/Grisman, Taj Mahal, CSNY, Phish, Perpetual Groove, Soulive, Los Amigos Invisibles, Mongo Santamaria, Allman Brothers, Bela Fleck, MMW, Bob Marley, Jazz Mandolin Project, Johnny Cash, Jack Johnson, Flaming Lips, Matisyahu, Beck, The Polyphonic Spree, Yo La Tengo, P-funk, lotsa random stuff, NPR, jazz, funk, soul, jam, roots, reggae, bluegrass, folk, BUT NOT COUNTRY!!
Movies
no big blockbuster ones--those are usually dumb. Some of my faves: American Beauty, American Psycho (did he really kill those people?), Caddyshack, Dazed & Confused, Waterworld (top 10 all time), The Game, The Big Lebowski, Old School, Wedding Crashers, Billy Madison, 40 Year Old Virgin, Napoleon Dynamite, Primal Fear, Point Break, Twister, Better Off Dead, Office Space, Kingpin, Boiler Room, AI, Kubrick, Scorcese, Borat; some foreign and artsy stuff, some documentaries, some concert movies, some nature and travel movies...
Television
planet earth in hd (wow! best thing ever!), top chef, the office, real housewives of orange county/new york city (so addicting), family guy, seinfeld, simpsons, entourage, flight of the conchords, AFHV (love it!), american gladiators, sportscenter, cooking and food shows, e.g., good eats, hell's kitchen, ramsey's kitchen nightmares, next food tv star, manic organic, jamie's show, anything with jacque pepin, curb, jeopardy!, travelling shows, random stupid stuff, sopranos, sports, especially NCAA and NFL football!
Books
Tom Robbins is my favorite author and Still Life with Woodpecker is my favorite book. Law school took the fun out of reading for a few years, but am finally getting back into "reading for pleasure" now.
I am currently reading: The Appeal by Grisham (just started it), The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan (almost done--good), Reefer Madness by Eric Schlosser (got bored with it but the part about marijuana was interesting), The Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky (just can't get into it) and The Art of the Commonplace by Wendell Berry (never really in the moddo to read it). Getting into food writing recently...
Also love: Crime and Punishment, 1984, The Alchemist, some Vonnegut, some Kerouac, Carl Hiaasen, travel books, Self Reliance, The World According to Garp, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, Fletch, Man's Search for Meaning, Bringing Down the House, Courtroom 302, Heat, some Grisham, The Republic of Plato, Augusten Burroughs, David Sedaris, Bill Bryson, Tom Wolfe, philosophy, cookbooks, Roget's Thesauras, etc.
Heroes
Kirby Puckett, Smoove B, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, my family, some inventors and philosophers, e.g., Plato. And I guess Jesus if he existed---well, maybe...

Who I'd like to meet: Funny, down to earth, smart, interesting people that like to do stuff. Random knowledge a plus. No boring people. No stupid, stuck-up or annoying people either. That probably just ruled YOU out! or not... And I would rather not vomit when I look at you. Not a big fan of elderly people who I am not related to or the morbidly obese. They must like kids b/c I do...!
Heeeelllllllooooo, B! It was so good to see you last weekend! Sorry we didn't stick around for long--I was exhausted. I'm glad to see you're doing well. Miss you!
