Born and raised in Kansas City. A versatile young vocalist making a name for herself performing in some of the top venues throughout the city and as an in demand session vocalist. She recorded over 100 songs for songwriters all over the world in 2007. With a huge vocal range and enormous expression, she captivates a wide audience, young and old. She is influenced by everyone from Peggy Lee, Bonnie Raitt, Jeff Buckley, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Lang, Allison Krauss, Nina Simone, Eva Cassidy to Gnarls Barkley.
She is now living and working in Los Angeles as a session vocalist and performing regularly with her own band, The Brenna Whitaker band. She is involved in several bands around LA. Brenna is a member is ASCAP, and writes/ publishes original material and collaborates with other songwriters/musicians in the LA area.
She just finished her first feature film coming out in 2008 singing for a dark comedy called "American Crude" staring Ron Livingston, Rob Schneider, and Michael Clarke Duncan.
