Brent Burns is no stranger to musical notoriety. in response to the oil shortages of the 1970's and 80's, Brent wrote the hit song, "Cheaper Crude or No More Food." The song sold 200,000 copies the day it was released. The song climbed the Billboard charts after radio commentator Paul harvey played th song three times. It was the first and only song ever played in harvey's nearly 50 years of radio boradcasting.
Brent was also featured on the front page of the Sunday New York Times Entertainment section. Other feature articles appeared in the Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Arizona Republic, Newsweek, US Magazine and Billboard Magazine.
Brent has the distinction of being the first entertainer to sing for American troops overseas after the tragedy of September 11, 2001. Only one month after 9/11, Brent flew to Italy at the request of the Pentagon and European Entertainment coordinator, Joe Mennit to entertain troops and visit the hospital at Aviano Air Base.
Brent's impressive CD sales and songwriting skills continue to make him a highly sought after artist and performer. His schedule includes over 200 dates a year at concerts, festivals, corporate events and clubs.

I hope to see you at Lulu's maybe in Oct.
I have some pix to send you from Cloudcroft, NM. I stopped in the Texas BBQ restaurant and they had a "Gone to Lulu's" sign. It turns out the owners are from down your way. I had to leave them a 'Snowbird Season' bumper sticker. A few weeks later I was back there again, and left them your CD. Gotta make sure them folks have culture up in the mountains.
My "Welcome Home Jason" wasn't the biggest sign, but he found us and had stories to tell. They let you carry on that guitar? I'm sure it doesn't fit in that sample size carry-on box. But my dad worked in the baggage dept of Continental and he NEVER let us check luggage, so you're wise to carry it on the plane.
Just checked your schedule and we won't see you until Trop Rock the Bay unless we make it to Lulu's some Monday after Labor Day. Guess I'll just have to listen to my tunes while I play tennis alone (I'll let you wonder how that's done).
Just checking back with you to remind you that Powerplayed is really interested in showcasing your videos. I know I reached out some time ago but haven’t seen an upload from you as of yet. Powerplayed.com offers a free membership, free upload and gives you a platform to expose your talent to a quarter of a million people. Also, by uploading your video you are automatically entered in the running to be a part of our Friday “Independents Day” e-blast, dedicated to indie artists that exposes your work to a lengthy list of music industry execs.
