Brent Gorton & the Tender Breasts were formed in a pizzeria when Brent asked his then girlfriend (now wife) Kellie and her best friend Brooke to learn instruments and be Brent's backing band. The two accepted the offer and the Tender Breasts were born.
The group has just recorded its first long player, "Loud Ness." Brent and Kellie have formed a solo project, and are planning a single due out at the end of March 2009.

Y'all finished the record?!!? Is there anyway it can somehow make its way to Washington State? I can offer Monetary compensation for shipping charges and the cost of vinyl....
I put That Photograph on a mix for my nerdy mix CD club. The theme was "ghosts." Your sweet sounds coexisting with the Platters, John Sebastian, & Fleetwood Mac, among others. Said CD was sent to California, Minnesota, & Kansas. Why do I feel like I'm bragging? Cuz I'm wicked proud of BG and the TBs.
I have fond memories of Brooke with a maraca, a Guided by Voices cover that inspired a dance party at the Lark Tavern, Chinese New Year dumpling drum song and finding a 7-inch version of Kyu Sakamoto singing Sukiyaki. Although not all of these memories are directly related to the Tender Breasts several significant ones are imbued with your melodies.
OK cut it with the indefatigable pop nuggets--my four year old daughter Calla won't let me play anything but Anna Berlin in the car for a good week now ... thank god it keeps holding up play after play . . . back in the 80s indeed
thank you sir, and i dig "that photograph". as for your influences, i guess i'll have to check out men at work again. maybe i missed something the first time around. say hello to the tender breasts from spitshine
Did I ever thank y'all for the add? Anyhow, BG&tTB: Thanks for joining the cause and adding Beard McCartney Now! Soon, with your help, Sir Paul will once again don a full, bushy beard.
