About me:

I am a musician and artist from the south coast of New South Wales, Australia.
I have also worked as a sound engineer and technician for about 20 years.
I am currently playing guitar and keys with "The New Christs", a band that features Rob Younger (of Radio Birdman) on vocals. Other members of The New Christs are Jim (bass), Stu (drums) and Dave (guitar). Go see the official myspace site for the New Christs - www.myspace.com/theofficialnewchrists
The reference to goatherding in the headline relates to my former band "The Zambian Goatherders" (1990-1996). I played guitar and sang in this band. Other members were Matt (bass, vocals), Greg (guitar), Dillon (drums) and Dave (vocals). Following this, I founded the experimental improv. rock band "Vvovo" with my Goatherder buddy Dillon (on drums) as well as Stef (bass) and Penzer (noise). I played keys in this band.
Currently, three of the members of "Vvovo" are now engaged in a new rock band called "BDSG" (B=Brent, D=Dillon, S=Stefan and G=Greame who is the newbie in the band). "Vvovo" may make a comeback sometime in the future.
I am a founding member of the free-improv group "Wollongong Anarchist Noisemakers Kollective", together with Dr Gary Butler, Dr Houston Dunleavy, Dr Catherine Schieve and Dr Warren Burt. The W. A. N. K. perform regularly around Australia with a vast array of guest performers.
I am also a sound artist and composer. This work takes many different forms such as installation, electronic and electro-acoustic recorded music, music for small and large ensembles, sound design for theater, live performance, etc. etc.
I am currently writing my doctoral thesis on music technology at the University of Wollongong.
