Bret joins Jerry Joseph and Steve Drizos on this 7-track collaboration, which includes two new Joseph originals, two Mosley originals, two covers and a co-write—the title track, which commemorates election night of Nov ’08. The predominantly acoustic effort runs the gamut from the intense, raw “Charge” and the uplifting plea of “What You Feel”, to the quirky, playful “Isabella Bird”…to Joseph’s stark a cappella rendition of the traditional spiritual “On Time God”. Recorded over the course of three days at Old Soul Studio in Catskill, NY, with a live performance setup and first-take vocals – the project used vintage technology throughout. Tracked on analog tape, nothing digital was introduced until the final mix was burned to CD. The physical CD hit the streets in January ‘09 & this trio will tour in support of this new release.

Brooklyn-based Mosley's 2007 solo album, Light & Blood, was hailed as "a heartfelt masterpiece" by Neufutur Magazine and charted Top 10 on college radio. Touring ceaselessly since the album's release, Bret has shared the stage with The Blind Boys of Alabama, Jerry Joseph, Jackie Greene, Kaki King, the Subdudes, Big Brother and The Holding Company, and others.
His unreservedly original sound, a deeply authentic soulful rockin' funky blue Americana groove - has gathered an audience ranging from cowhands to bankers, from rastas to cops.
Bret is touring in 2009 in various configurations - as solo act, with Craig Santiago on drums, and with Jerry Joseph in support of the new release, "Charge".
"...roots folk rock at its best....Quietly stunning in its seemingly simple beauty...and runs through the gamut of spiritual emotion without hurry or worry...it reminds us to relax and listen. Just listen."
—Kenya Jones, ACED Magazine
"...as if Van Morrison had come from a sharecroppers’ farm. "
—Paul Kerr, americana-uk.com
"It is such a privilege to have the opportunity to get to hear hardworking, asskicking artists like Mosley. The kind of artists that aren’t being force fed to mass consumers. The kind of artists that deserve the kind of audiences pre-fab products posing as musicians garner." —Robin Rothman, Editor-Go! Magazine
