Sounds Like
I have recorded in a school bus for 7 years , bedrooms , bars , clubs , restaraunts , radio stations , beaches and coastal valleys , and even real music studios . Its not the clean , California Smile type of sound , more of a BROWN , rounded , watery , celestial , old school sound. I go for rhythmic , phonetic tones that activate the lower chakras first , working their way to the heart , then the head , then beyond . I love blues and punk energy fused into folk rock. I have never sat well in any genre other than alt/ singer /songwriter.
I currently use Fender Amps, a P-Bass and an early 80s US Strat , a wide variety of acoustic guitars, and the cheaper the keyboards- the better, until I can go for a Nord or a comparable workstation. Im using Sure Sm58 mics and a Rode NT1 condenser, and a myriad of pedal effects and plug ins.
Very limited home studio.
Whats it sound like ? Like a working class stiff in his home studio and Mac laptop on Pro Tools M Box, doing the best with what is around when there is half a free day to record.

Happy Happy my lil' brother - - ::: aloha ::: As the sun sets on your coast - while all the silent memories of this summer are still drying on my skin like salty ocean water - I toast the lessons and loves I have made or found, I drink in the emotions and leave the drama to float away in the sunset – I toast to everyone – a toast to unleash all of the summer suns power that is stored in our tanned pores to ignite, engage, and flow all over each and everyone of us for the next 22days - before autumn awakens and the coolness of the coming Indian summer tightens our skin and the paleness of our bodies start to blend into our tan lines ::: Happy labor/birth day - I hope it is full of all the labor, you love to do - ::: aloha for now

watch this man - when he arrives he brings the rain – that washes you clean and reveals our humility. I pay close attention when he is around cause most of his verbal dribble I find profound. He has traveled the world and his feet now land here close to mine. Currently basking in his accomplishments of passing the first 2 tests he gets the invite to take the rest – watch this man – he is moving forward :::
