Here's a bit about THE CLEANER:

From a dazzling new voice in suspense fiction comes a gritty, twisty spy thriller in the electrifying tradition of Lee Child. In a novel that crackles with action and whip-smart storytelling, newcomer Brett Battles introduces a marvelously unique hero: Jonathan Quinn, a freelance operative and professional "cleaner." His job? Nothing too violent, just disposing of bodies and tying up loose ends.

When "The Office" called with Jonathan's latest job, it seemed simple enough, investigating a suspicious case of arson in Colorado. But the case takes a turn for the worse and soon Jonathan is leapfrogging continents, trying to find out why someone wants him dead–and if it's linked to a larger attempt to wipe out "The Office." His only hope may be a woman from his past who's reluctant to help–but who may hold the key to solving the case. What happens next ignites a wild and wicked ride as together they struggle to unravel a mystery that grows darker by the day...and as this powerhouse of a novel races to its explosive conclusion.

Here's a few nice things other authors have said about THE CLEANER.

"Brett Battles makes a grand entrance into the thriller scene with this unputdownable spy novel. THE CLEANER has it all: exotic locales, James Bondian derring-do, and ingenious plot twists that will keep you sweating all the way till the end." - Tess Gerritsen, author of THE MEPHISTO CLUB

"THE CLEANER is a terrific novel. It features a compelling plot, thrilling action and an unforgettable cast of characters. This debut novel is a powerful read." - Robert K. Tanenbaum, New York Bestselling author of COUNTERPLAY

"It's always great to discover a new writer who can turn a genre on its ear. Brett Battles's THE CLEANER proves the case. Part Raymond Chandler, part Clive Cussler, part Robert Ludlum, here is an international thriller chocked full of action, taut with suspense, and laced with a fair amount of humor and romance. An exciting debut by a major new talent...I look forward to seeing what comes next!" - James Rollins, New York Times bestseller of MAP OF BONES and BLACK ORDER

"Brett Battles is a compelling new voice in the thriller genre. THE CLEANER combines the best elements of Lee Child, John LeCarre and Robert Ludlum. Deftly plotted, perfectly paced and expertly executed, Battles takes his readers on a joyride from the U.S. to Vietnam to post-Cold War Berlin. Jonathan Quinn is a character worth rooting for. Brett Battles is a master story teller. Find a comfortable chair and plan to stay up late. You won't be able to put it down. A stellar debut. Highly-recommended." - Sheldon Siegel, New York Times Best Selling Author of THE CONFESSION

"Brett Battles is a master thriller writer. Jonathan Quinn is simply the most compelling protagonist to debut in a decade. No thriller fan can afford to miss this rip-roaring experience." - John Ramsey Miller, author of SIDE BY SIDE

"THE CLEANER has it all: fast action, terrific characters, and exotic locations all combined in a roller-coaster plot that's guaranteed to keep you reading till the last page. Brett Battles might be a newcomer, but he write like an old hand. This is one terrific book!" - John Gilstrap, author of SIX MINUTES TO FREEDOM

Look forward to hearing from you!

Dust and Shadow: an Account of the Ripper Killings by Dr. John H. Watson, available everywhere April 28th....

"At long last, an author of rare talent combines a thorough, enthusiastic knowledge of the Sherlock Holmes canon with truly rigorous research into, and respect for, the Jack the Ripper killings. Where others have failed, Lyndsay Faye's extremely impressive debut novel succeeds, on every level, providing thrilling entertainment without blatant exploitation. It will instantly take a place of distinction among the best attempts of contemporary authors to continue the work of Arthur Conan Doyle, and is, quite simply, a must for Holmes fans and Ripperologists alike.
